Reign in Life

16Again, the gift of God is not like the result of the one man's sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification. 17For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.
(Romans 5:16-17)

In this passage, in this beautiful chapter of Romans, Paul touches on the fact that God's grace is much more powerful than sin. In doing so he makes a comparison of sorts. His comparison is as follows. One way in which grace out powers sin, is in its consequences. Through the one act of sin (Adam's sin) judgement and condemnation came into the world. But through the grace of God in giving his Son justification was given despite many sins.

What does this all mean? Just this; If you have truly trusted in Jesus for your salvation then you are justified. No matter what your sins; God's grace is there to restore you, keep you and protect you. You are in a kingdom of grace and that reality is unshakable.
