GO!

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." There is a number of things worth noting just briefly as one considers these well known words of Jesus.
  • Firstly Jesus wants us to go. Not stay. The church in the 1st century was a church on the move. Going and taking ground. Proclaiming, loving and demonstrating the coming of the kingdom of Kingdom in an active manner.
  • Secondly, Jesus called us to be active in the task of making disciples. He wants us to pass the message of his love on. Live the life of obedience and faith and to help others to do the same.
  • Finally, as we do so, we are assured of the presence of Jesus through the Holy Spirit till the very end of the age. We are not alone, Jesus is with us.

My prayer for us is that we might go, make disciples and know the power and presence of our messiah till the end of the age.

Grace and peace from Marcus
